Need Ideas for Mounting Booster
I am in the process of swapping to disc and am trying to get the booster mounted. The brackets don't line up with the bolts on the firewall. For those of you that have done the late model booster swap, how did you make the brackets fit? Thanks in advance for the ideas.

Re: Need Ideas for Mounting Booster
If it is a 73 and up bracket you can use it. Use the bottom 4 holes and (if you want clean it up a little) cut off the upper portion of the bracket on both sides where the upper holes are. There is info in the archives about using that newer bracket.

Re: Need Ideas for Mounting Booster
I just did this, put an 85 in my 70.
You can't just change the brackets as stated above, as they are rivoted(?) onto the booster, not bolted like the pre-'72's. The big problem is the booster will hit the shift linkage on the automatic, it is just too close to clear it. link to my job. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=238199

Re: Need Ideas for Mounting Booster
I used the middle holes for the bottom and drilled my own holes in the top, trimmed off what I didn't need (or was in the way) and it bolted up real nice.
