Question motor mount question

dont know of any of you have come up against this or not, but i am sure i am not the first..so here goes. My 67 stepper i am rebuilding (frame up), i have
run into a problem with the motor mounts. i replaced the stock front crossmember with a late model (74 crossmember) and now the 67 or the 74 motor mount brackets do not line up with the 67 frame. the 74's will but they are about 1-1/2 to 2" above frame. am i going to have to drill more holes into
crossmember or does someone know of a fix for this. maybe someone sells something aftermarket to fix. dont really want to redrill but thought i would throw this out there to see if someone has a fix or know of one.
