I got a guy that is willing to trade me this 72 cheyenne 10 lwb and i was wondering if the door panels and dash pad/steering column/carpet colors are correct i've never had a truck that i can remember that had saddle but the door panels are parchment (off white) is that how they came and if this is correct what color should the seat be? thanks in advance Mike

Re: original interior question

looks correct to me for a truck with Parchment interior. The seat would be parchment like to door panels. I have a truck that is those same colors, I can post a pic when I get home.

Re: original interior question

My K10 has a saddle column, dashpad and dash from the pad to the windshield. It also had a saddle rubber mat when I got it. My door panels are also parchment as well as the seatbelts. The seat is currently green but I'm thinkin about going back parchment with it. So yes, as the others have said. Could be original.

Re: original interior question

Yes, its correct. Parchment interior got you a saddle wheel, column, dash pad and top of dash, and floor covering ( Black floor covering for a base model). Your seat, door panels, visiors, and usually the seat belts were parchment. (I have seen black belts in a parchment truck before though??)

Re: original interior question

Actually, I do believe that the dash pad and column are Sandalwood, not Saddle. The Saddle is a slightly darker brown than the Sandalwood (look at the pic see ten posted). My '72 Blazer has the parchment/sandalwood combonation. They just started repoducing the sandalwood dashpads, but they are hard to find. I bought mine through early classic, but it arrived in a Brother's box with an ECE sticker and invoice. Sandalwood steering wheels are not reproduced.

That is correct, Sandelwood, not saddle, is the correct color. Thanks for pointing that out. Saddle is kinds like chocoate brown.

Re: original interior question

Maybe I need to swap mine out for sandalwood so it will match the column. Any pics of the new sandalwood pads?

Re: original interior question

This is my understanding as I researched it when I got my truck:
Parchment interior has: (RPO 625)
Off white door panels, sunvisors, seat & armrests, steering wheel, column and dash pad.
Sandelwood interior has: (RPO 622)
Off white door panels, armrests, sunvisors, and a tan seat, dash, steering column, and wheel.
Saddle interior has: (RPO 621)
Tan (or darker, like brown leather) door panels, sunvisors, seats, armrest, dash pad, steering wheel & column.

Others?

Re: original interior question

I've never seen an off-white steering wheel. My Blazer has off-white seats, door panels and sunvisors and sandalwood top of the dash, column, steering wheel and dash pad with the black rubber floors mats.

Hi! I dont mean to butt in...was wondering where you got your replacement mat??? Mine is in great shape but has some rips/tears that keep growing!!! The repro I bought is the "bumpy" kind with no lines like yours. It looked terrible so I sold it to a guy at work for his '68. Would love to find one like the original!!

Re: original interior question

Hmmm. It seems like I got it from Obsolete. They're in Nashville GA. You can try contacting any of the board members and maybe they can help you find what you're looking for.
