67 GMC summer project

I just got a 67 GMC from my nana and her husband. It has new inner fenders, and the front end of the truck is in great shape. The rockers and cab corners need some grinding and bondo still but there well on there way and there is no rust in the cab. I will probally end up cutting out the cab corners and putting in new ones since these were porely put it. The box will require most of the work since all the wood is rotten and its a little beat up but i got all summer to work on it. It has a 305 in it ready to go but i know of a 327 that needs a rebuild so i might be getting that if the price is right.

it keeps giving me an error when i try to post pics
i have pics on this sled forum i go on, here is the link

Re: 67 GMC summer project

Welcome from Edmonton. My questions is how did you find a truck in that kind of shape up here. There most have been a some work done to it before.

P.S. hows the price of gas right now in Manitoba, its $1.16 over here.

Re: 67 GMC summer project

sweeeeeet

Interesting, i was always told you couldn't use those type of manifolds (log) that they would hit the motor mount stands.
I'd recomend ditching the fan spacer and getting a clutch fan. Very interesting power steering pump mounting too, might want to keep an eye on that, that extention piece looks like a weak link to me.

Ya gotta dig the 'tread' on that brake pedal. (pun intended)

i got it from my nanas husband and yes he did some work to it. he paid 500 for it and then he put new inner fenders in it, sandblasted everything so the underbody is real clean and he attempted to put rockers and cab corners in. i will probally end up cutting out the cab corners and putting new ones in and the rockers can be saved. I also think he did some work on the floor.

the price of gas is 1.20 and i think i heard it was 1.30 in some places around

I think they mean $1.30 Canadian/ liter, not U.S. gallon, which is 3.8 liters.
