Tent Trailer
Has anyone on here built or has seen a 67-72 truck bed converted into a tent trailer? Just wondering if anybody else has thought of it and unlike me has made it a reality.

Re: Tent Trailer
I was thinking the same thing. I originally thought to put a pickup camper on the trailer, but then that would look bulky and not as cool. But if you are able to convert the tralier into a tent trailer, when it is collapsed, it would look like a trailer with a hard tonneau cover on it. How cool would that be?

Re: Tent Trailer
Very cool, would look great going down the raod, especially if you painted it to match your truck.

Re: Tent Trailer
Shouldn't be that hard to do. Bolt the bed sides, front panel, tail gate on a tent trailer and don't forget to convert to bigger wheels if it has the little ones. Might have to build some sort of frame work to hold the truck parts to the frame of the trailer instead of the body of the trailer.

Re: Tent Trailer
Pictures? That is what I am looking for. I have been thinking about it, and being a camping enthusiast, I thought this would look cool. Again it was just a thought, and was hoping that since I thought of it, there had to be some-one else a few steps ahead of me who has thought of it and made it into a reality. It is on my list of things to do before I die.

Re: Tent Trailer
wow, I like slick's idea on just making an existing trailer look like a 67-72 truck bed, but the dimensions would have to be the same or it would look kinda hokey

Re: Tent Trailer
I wonder if one of these or something like it would work in a truck bed trailer. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...107&hasJS=true
