!!!!Harumph!!!!

et tu Johnny?

What ever happened to "Rust NEVER Sleeps 2007" @ Vacaville in May??? I though we were going to invite the 67-72chevytrucks.com '60-'66 truck forum guys this year? After I spent all that time blacking out the "other site's" logo from the banner with a half dozen boxes of sharpies??

This is preposterous!! Johnny, say it isn't so!! You've been with me since the very first one at Foster's Freeze back in '02 when you body slammed that little girl for climbing up on your steps side to look in the bed. Oh the horror! I've been betrayed!!!

There. was that dramatic enough?

I go to Vacaville every year. My truck would be the blue one in the picutres... I go even if my truck is not running. Last year I showed up on my motorcycle. This year I will take my Ranger only because I want to take my mountain bike and go explore.. Anyone else up for driving to Vacaville here..

If thats where it has to be...sure...don't have a problem with that. But....I still would prefer to have it closer to home.

I think I could jump in the ol' Gray Ghost & mosey on down there to SJ (55mph tops). If I can pull out a spare Benjamin for gas and oil. I come to yourn maybe you come to mine. After all, I do work for Applied Materials - I could visit the mother ship down on Bowers. Say, there wouldn't be any good fishin' in that lake of yours would there?

Yeah, we get those idiots crossing over our side planers all the time at Berryessa. I can't tell you how many rigs I've lost to those guys. I mean they have the entire lake to buz around on, yet they have to do it within 20 feet of the only trolling boat in the area. That ****'s expensive!!

Skoty Chops! There's a name I haven't seen on this board yet. Tell Scott that I said waddap; he's a cool cat.

I'll drive to San Hoe, Vacaville, wherever.

Re: Anyone interested in a truck bbq for 60-66's in Bayarea

The event this year will be held at the usual location, in Vacaville at the Lagoon Valley Regional Park on Pena Adobe rd just south of I-80. The date will be May 19th and I'll show up to set things up at around 10:30 a.m. please use map quest or contact me if you need directions.

For you new-comers, we have a potlach barbeque dinner where everybody brings their own meat to grill up for themselves and their guests, and also brings a side dish to share with the whole gang. I'll provide the barbeque and the mesquite charcoal and hell, I'll even cook it for ya if you'd like. B.Y.O.B.

The park is set against the green Vacaville hills and is located around a beautiful lake. There's plenty of things for the kids to do; bike riding & hiking trails, an 18 hole frizbe golfcourse, play ground, tons of geese to chase around and believe it or not, fishing!

I'll be the fat guy in the funny hat sitting under the shade tree usually with a "beverage of choice" in my hand, and in case you're wondering which truck is mine, just pick out the ugliest one in the line-up and you can't be wrong.

If you've never been to one of these, then I urge you to come, it's a gas and we have a lot of fun! It's a chance to meet the guys & gals behind the internet user-names and get a close up look at the projects we all talk about on this forum. And for all you guys that have come in the past, we'd love to see you all there!!

Oh yeah, and don't worry about what shape your ride's in cause this ain't a glamor show. Sure, it's nice to see the tricked out customs & the perfect restorations that ocasionally show up at this meet, but the whole theme of this meet is about the trucks, and the name says it all - "Rust NEVER Sleeps".

So don't be afraid, bring out the multi-colored daily drivers, the half-sanded primered jobs, the rust buckets & bondo buggies! Break out the bailin' wire & the bubble gum and "Git 'er DONE"!!! - Like the sign says.."Just shut-up & bring yer Bowtie!"

double "oh yeah" - Jet Skiers welcome!!
