Re: 58 GMC Project
Yea that looks just about right
I know when I first started looking for a truck it had to be a 55-57. When I got the 59 I first started looking at the possibility of changing the front clip. Now I'm totally happy with the look of a 59 chevy front end. Yeh 4 lighters............. Brian ...

I also agree with 55-56 having nice grills. I thought about changing it to match my 55 Chevy car, but after going to many truck shows I decide to stay true to the 58 because everybody seems to have a 55-56 truck. So the double headlights are in my future. I use to think the 58-59 grill was super ugly but now I starting to see the light (4 of them). I must admit I like the 57 grill the best because its different (looks like a fish mouth to me) but I don't care for the 57 hood. Now a 57 grill with a 55-56 hood (love the smooth hood) thats a thought. Last edited by Kabwe; 05-15-2007 at 12:13 PM. |

Re: 58 GMC Project
I got the bed on yesterday. I still need to put the steps on and the wood in the bed. The hood and tailgate is to be painted this week. Here's some pictures.

Re: 58 GMC Project
Looks good Cal. How did you end up doing the wood?
Is it oak? Light or dark? Brian ...

I did use oak. It's a light color. I still need to put more vanish on it.

That's gonna be a beautiful truck when it's done. I love the way it sets. I can't wait to see it in person.
