Poweer steering ???

I have a 70 model K-10 I haul wood and junk with that the steering is screwy on, thought I would ask here and see if anyone could help out. It has power steering that turns fine to the right, but when you turn to the left it is like the power assist isn't working. Full of fluid, no visible leaks, has done it the whole time I've owned it. Any insight? Am I missing something simple? Tried turning to the stops each way (thought maybe an air problem) no luck yet!
Thanks in advance for any input.

Re: Poweer steering ???

this thread will be interesting to me, because i need to troubleshoot my PS system as well. mine runs great when its cold, but becomes a pain after its hot (sometimes makes a whining sound). same as72gord... no leaks and fluid is full.

hopefully some powersteering experts will be reading this thread soon!

Re: Poweer steering ???

Subscribing to the thread, I have the same problem with mine. I posted a thread a while back, and I believe somebody diagnosed a bad valve in the steering box, but I can't find the post now. I haven't driven the truck in a while so it wasn't a huge priority, but now that it's back on the road it is becoming a pain.
