Starter heat shield
Does anyone have a pic of a starter heat shield to be used on a 68 w/350 with headers? Thinking one could be fabbed to extend the life of my son's starter. His acts up after a couple of months due to heat. Don't want to go to a mini if we can get by with a shield. Thanks

Re: Starter heat shield
get one of those wrap around "blankets". I think you should be able to find one in summit or jegs. I had a Vega for many years that ate solinoids & after I installed the "blanket" they lasted a lot longer...

You can get the heat shield from any local autoparts.

Re: Starter heat shield
I bought a shield for under $20 new, haven't had problems since......
wasn't worth the time or effort to make one.
