starter for a 6 w/ automatic??? please help me!!

i've been tring to get a starter for my 6cyl w/ th350. the one that i tried the other day was the correct design of mounting but the holes were too far apart. anybody have a pn# to the correct one.

was the one you got from right?

ill check my other 2 i was keeping if needed.

whats the measurement of center to center on the bolts?

ok here's the deal looks like it wasn't the holes. the nose has the wrong offset around the gear. so i can't get it to fit close enough(stupid me). i have the starter place making me a new one today.

ok i went to the starter place and they are telling me that they can't make a starter that fits the 6cyl w/a th350. what the hell....

some one please shed some light on this for me.

yea i have the old one, but it bolts to the trans.

as for the powerglide one i dunno haven't tried that yet. i think i'm just gonna order a high torque one today.
