Master of My Domain
Well, once again I've been reminded of the truth of the old saying "you get what you pay for". In my quest to save a buck I've tried several "free" web hosts to host my web site. The first one went out of business -- no notice, just disappeared one day like an Iraqi weapon of mass destruction. The second one was great for a while, then they began going down more often than a white house intern. With my third host (Web1000) I thought I had found a winner. They offered plenty of space and bandwidth, no banners or pop-ups, and they seemed to have little or no downtime. The problem? Well, it seems they have a pension for redirecting traffic to entertainment of the adult persuasion. I'm no prude and if adult entertainment (pronounced porn) floats your boat, then that's fine with me. However, I do take offence to being bombarded with the stuff without warning.
So, I've learned my lesson. No more getting something for nothing. I now have my own domain and I am paying a legitimate and respectable hosting service to host my site. I apologize to anyone that visited my site in the past and was greeted with bare bodies rather than truck bodies. If you found the redirect convenient (honest honey, I clicked on a board member's truck site!) then you're welcome, but you'll have to come up with a better excuse from now on. I even host my own guestbook, so no more banners and pop-ups from a guestbook site. For those that have linked to my site from your web site, my new web address is http://www.pattson.com. I've had freeservers for quite a while now. Check it out! There are some pop-up banners, but the layout is cool and it's free.

Your site looks really good Johnny. I'm going to be re-assembling my 327 in a few weeks (I hope). It's at the machine shop now.
