Does "urban" wheeling count?

Checking clearance on my new rock sliders.

Top of the concrete block is 52" in case anybody cares.

For those of you out there like me who might be finding yourselves a little tired of the summer heat (we're going on several days in a row over 100) here's a couple old shots to help you get through...

Your always going 'up'...how do you do that?

Leaving for Rausch in the morning, I should have something to post on the return.

Back tires aren't even lifting off yet...

Only wish pics would convey how steep thing's really are.

Couple shots from the last trip to Rausch Creek.

Yea, The "nosedown" shots were actually a LOT steeper than the pix show. For one, I was by myself and had to stop and get out to take the pix. The truck wouldnt stay in the steepest spot...even in park it would just slide down the sand. I actually had to shut it off a coulple times because of no oil pressure. It was so steep I could have stood up straight on the back of the rear seat and looked out the rear hatch.

That's gotta suck having to kill the power and lose your power assist. Guess you don't have much choice though.

Sure wish I could contribute some pics but no where around here to have fun like that unfortunately!

Re: 4X4 Action Pix

Wow, busy weekend. Worked 1/2 day Saturday morning, made the 240 mile round trip to the Moyie Mud Bog (see other thread). Sunday watched my Seahawks get destroyed by the Steelers, then spent 5 hours at the off-road park.

Re: 4X4 Action Pix

All the twisting and side hilling took its toll. I broke BOTH front HD lift shackles. The drivers side sheared and bent one bolt and the H-beam welds all failed, coming completely apart. I jacked it up and stuck a 2x4 in there just to get it home without banging on the frame. The passenger side is twisted and cracked pretty bad, one bolt is broke but still in and holding. It definitely made for a slow, interesting drive home.
