Unhappy A dumb question for a Cheyenne Super?

Was it factory for the glovebox door to be black for a Cheyenne Super or was it body color. I have been to many junkyards and seen Supers with both in them, so I am a little confused.

The Cheyenne Super glove box was woodgrain same as the gauge bezel. Here is a pic of my 71 Supers interior, I hope this helps...

Sorry, I wanted to add this to my last post. The Cheyenne Super was woodgrain and the and the standard Cheyenne might have been black or body color not real sure.

Trevor, I have wondered this myself. On all GMC Sierra Grandes, the glovebox lid is not the same as the dash color-usually close (med. olive body, dark olive lid; blue body, dark blue lid). I also have seen body color lids and black lids on Cheyenne Supers. I don't think GM had a "norm" on this stuff. I have also seen black a/c deflector housings on different colored trucks. Another example is some options listed on glovebox have 6 number option code while some only have 3. Go figure?!!!

my 72 super has a black glove box door with woodgrain and the truck is dark olive and white. it still has the option sheet and all the numbers match.
as for 3 or 6 digit option code, i believe the 6 digit code was a special order--the purchaser picked the options to be installed then the dealer ordered it. the 3 digit code was a truck optioned by the dealer and purchased off the lot. my super has the 6 digit codes and down in the right hand corner has a "special order #".
i don't know this to be a fact but if anyone else has a theory i'd be open to their ideas.

I just stripped a "super" last weekend and got the glovebox door off of it. It was body colored with the woodgrain and emblem. I've never seen them any other way but GM didn't always do things consistently.

I've found black glove box doors almost common in GMC trucks.

I have had and parted lots of supers and most of them have had black doors?? Not all, but some? Not sure why? As for the a/c vents , I think the cheyenne and the cheyenne super were body color and the custom and the custom deluxe were black???
