Intake Swap
Will the intake manifold from an mid 70's 350 fit on a late 50's 283?

Not sure, but I bought some parts the other day and one of the intake manifolds was marked as being for a 283. So they may be different. I might be able to get you the part number if you want it.

if its a 55up block/heads they will fit, the HEI too.

i believe the 283 has a provision for a engine vent in the rear but its been a while since i fooled with a 283. yes all is interchangeable. another note the 283 does not have hard exhaust valve seats for unleaded gas...... i recomend ho305 heads for the 283.
