Have you had the carb cleaned and rebuilt? New Fuel filter? If not, those are probably the first places to look. Also, how's the tune-up?

Probably just needs some fine tuning by someone who really knows Q Jets, I put a new Q Jet on my truck and still had to spend some time with my Mechanic tuning it. Very sensitive carbs but once you dial them in they kick ass.

check primarys

try adjusting your primary jets to add or sutract fuel from the venturis

when your under the hood with the air cleaner off, and shes warmed up adjust the choke.
you may need more or less air

also try manualy turning the throtle at the carb ounce she is warmed up. if you throttle it and she begins to cut out you'er probly running fuel rich
turn your primary jets down until you have just a very slight stall. this means you're running a little wet(fuel rich) and helps the life of your valves

also if you get some cold rain your truck will **** and git.

good luck
