Start with a California 70 K5 tub and frame.

add 52" springs in the front and 56" springs in the rear, 6" of total lift.

Add a D60 front, 14B rear, 4.56 gears with Detroit lockers front and rear. High steer, a Black Box by Northwest fab and a NP205 with Furd guts behind a 4L60. 383 Vortec stroker for motivation.

Sure, looks like a good candidate.

Is this how it currently sits?
Would need a frame with mounts under it to do it right.

Nice parts list, is the 4L60 built?
What tire size is he going to run?

Looks like it needs floor patches and possibly an outer rocker.

This is how it currently is.

Frame's in my yard, waiting to get sandblasted, hot dipped galvanized and painted.

4L60 is built, Corvette servos and all that crap. Going to run a 39.5" Pitbull Rocker on re-centered H1 rims.

Thanks... it's been done before and when tuned works well.

Can you post those pictures back up on my other thread? I'd like to see that C/30 that was converted again. I am working on it, too.

Got a box (108lbs !) of freight coming. Wanted to be ready...

IN order to fit the 52" springs in front, the original (and banged up) spring hangers in front need to come off, as does the body mount.

Gary and I got that done today. We also got the 1 ton frame ready to go and stacked both on top of the beater truck...

How much was that kit and what is the benefit of it? I assume they are longer length front springs than stock for a better ride?

Pricing and some information is right on that page you quoted

Yes, a longer spring is a flexier spring. Better ride, better traction. You also get 4" of lift out of stock spring. We're running a 2" Skyjacker for 6" of total lift.

It's be alot easier if it were on the frame as a roller with the body mounts installed.
Be better for fit and finish of the panels too.

We should have the frame(s) back from blast and paint shortly. So mounting it down onto a roller is not impossible. I get the other brackets and stuff I need to mount the suspension on Wednesday, according to the DHL website.

The trailer's a piece of 400.00 crap. It's what I paid for it, but it's good at holding the body tub up.

I should be picking up the frames and axles today from Blast and Paint.

I already have the old mounts off... I also have the springs, I'll need to assemble the axles.

The K10 and Buggy are for other folks... I am doing project management and grunt work on most of it.
