I was wondering about how to get my gauges working in the dash. Right now the only ones that work are the speedo and fuel gauge...put a new thermostat in thinking that would at least fix temp but it didn't...what the heck?

Well I guess you know that the thermo has nothing to do with the engine temp gauge now. If sending unit on motor is correct and working than the dash gauge would be at fault as long as wire to motor is good. Oil pressure has a mechanical line that runs to the dash gauge from the back of the motor right behind the intake manifold by the dist.
If not blocked then it should work or the gauge is messed up. If no oil pressure than the motor would not run for too long before problems lock you up. Good luck.

where's the wire to the motor go? and I see where the oil presure line is...it's like a female end coming out of the fire wall right?

yes they are factory gauges

Do you mean the male spade on the oil pressure sending unit just behind the dizzy? I think that's where the wire attaches for the idiot light. Is there a metal line that runs into the cab and attaches to the back of the gauge?
