It's Scary... I had a thought !

Hey, I have been thinking bout this for a while

Can somebody design a card that we can all print out & hand to peeps when we meet them

I'm always meeting guys with 67-72's & I carry sticky notes & right down the web address for the site and give to them, but it'd be great to have some cards instead

Put stuff like the logo, the web addy, maybe a little about the site, & maybe a blank place to type/write your name / user name

It's been talked about before, if nothing else just a template and you could print business cards, maybe personalized.

I was thinking the same thing. I was going to make my own, but didnt know about copyright laws. I was also wondering if this site will have a booth to represent us at Carlisle truck nationals. Later, Rich

I totally agree this is needed. I tell people about the site all the time and it would sure be nice to just have a card to give them.

Re: It's Scary... I had a thought !

maybe someone can make a template for Avery cards and we can just purchase the blank card stock and print them out, maybe a spot left where we post our screen names... I agree I would also want to avoid any copyright issues, but something that the board would agree as acceptable for use..

Re: It's Scary... I had a thought !

I used to do it too, but I have so much trouble keepin ink in my printer anymore that I stopped using it all together.
I used to print them out with a picture of a nice truc on the one side, and the URL, then on the back it had the URL for my longhorn site, and my e-mail. I handed out quite a few over the years, and the last one, i made into a magnet and put inside a tool box i gave to a board member.

I always had 3 or 4 styles of trucks, and would print up all of them, then, if it was a SWB guy I met, I'd hand him that, or a longhorjn guy, one wioth a pic of MTDave's rig, then i had a burb that belonged to someone... can't remember who, and then another one with a jacked up 4X4... again, a member that I don't remember anymore. This was all like in 2003 or so that I had done it.

Re: It's Scary... I had a thought !

Thats a neat idea. Whenever I tell someone about the site, I tell them to just type "67-72" into google & it comes up right on top... The cards would be cool to have in the glove box of the truck though...

Re: It's Scary... I had a thought !

Maybe some of our vendors could make a joint card with this web sight on the one side and then on the back maybe list 6-8 (67-72 suppliers), This would be a great low cost marketing tool for Wes, Tim, Paul, and others. Maybe when one joins the sight one of the benifits would to have maybe 25 or so cards sent to the member upon becoming a member or udating their membership.
Just another humble idea.

Re: It's Scary... I had a thought !

I did some on Avery years ago.I have updated them thru 3-4 moves and have several in a card wallet in my DD right now. They are simple line drawing of a Panel with my name E-mail and the website on them.I've left them on trucks and been offered trucks for sale.I don't know if anyone ever joined from one.
