well, I got my wife mad - again
Oh well. I could afford it and it's what I wanted so what the heck. She buys what she wants, right? She just won't let me park it in front of the house yet, so it's sitting at work, but when she simmers down I'll bring it home. Anyways, here's some pix - let me know what you think.

Re: well, I got my wife mad - again
Looks nice. Is it running air shocks in back or why is the rear so high? What's the original color? The glove box looks light blue but it doesn't say on the sheet.

Here's a couple pictures of the engine - it's got some different heads on it, I'm not sure what they are yet.

Re: well, I got my wife mad - again
LOL! YEah, that's what I was thinking. And I'm not sure why it's so high in the back - I'll have to check the shocks, I kinda thought that's how they rode stock.

Re: well, I got my wife mad - again
They all get that way! It's funny how much they like them after you fix them up and they look cool. My wife hated my 55 when I first purchased it, claimed it looked like a lowrider. Now she says I can never get rid of "Blackie" as she calls it. As I tell my wife you have to have dreams in life! Nice truck!

Re: well, I got my wife mad - again
1. Black
2. Short 3. Fleetside 4. 1967 These four things make it worthy. As for the question about the height of the rear end....it's because of the G50 option listed on the glove box date plate. My '69 had them and it sat the same way. The option is good for a 2000# weight rating in the rear. The result is a truck that will jar your innards when it is empty. Gettin' rid of the option item and replacing the rear coils when I lowered it, along with the front, made the ride really nice. Good lookin' truck. Native Californian, too, right? She'll come around, but you may have to let her spend some money before it happens. Regardless of what we buy, they seem to have the right to spend more money and on something that doesn't mean anything to our own way of thinking.
