Paying for a restoration????
So I just got done flipping my house, and want to focus more of my time and money towards my truck. I don't however want to have a ongoing project that will take years to complete. I would like have it down so I can enjoy it next summer. I would like to have any comments from members that had someone else do all the body work. How much could I execpt to pay, my truck is in decent shape with the only real rust around the rockers. Can I assume my frame is bent and I will have to pay through the nose to get that fixed? If anyone can add their 2 cents or past experiences I would greatly appreciate it.

5K would be a starting point. This will get some sheet metal replaced and a very nice driver quality paint job.
Most frames this old have a slight tweak in them - actually a frame repair job is not as bad as it used to be modern tech has brought this price down

it all depends if a professional shop do's it you'll pay if you find a bodyman with a shop at home would be your best but you must make sure you check his work out don't jump the gun and are you sure the frame needs work

I would say if you have the money, go with a Pro and not a back yard pro. Both may do a very good job, but the back yard pro will work for you after his everyday job when he feels like it. Just a thought.
