Question What tires do you run for winter?

I was just wondering what kind of tire everyone runs for the winter. What brand do you prefer and why? What size do you prefer and why? I had a friend tell me today that he won't run anything but Firestone. It just made me wonder what everyone thinks is the best for snow and ice. What about for year round driving? What do you think is the best for all seasons?

I've got a set of 31x10.5 no-name copycat bfg mud terrains for the winter, the just work well for the kinda slushy snow we get, and bfg t/a's 255/50 and 275/60's for the rest of the year. I've been runnin my summer tires for about 8 months a year for the last 3 years and I'm gonna hve to replace the fronts this year and the rears probably next year, Mind you I throw my 295s on when i know i might be smokin them or draggin otherwise i think the rears would be toast by now.

94 GMC --All year around, 33x12.5x16.5 BFG muds. I love those thing.

68 Lemans --When it runs, BFG TAs, I dont care for them much anymore. I dont get traction with them.

69 Suburban --Whatever came on it, I think some 31s somethings.

I usually use any major name tire as I have never had any problems with any that I have used. I tend to stick to AT tires as that is the best to use here all year round.

Same things I've been running for the past few months when my BFG's went bald... Yokohama Avid S/Ts.

I love AZ.

Yah. I don't change to a different tire for winter, either. But I do need to find a set of 16 inch wheels before the next set of tires. 16.5's are getting a little pricey, IMHO.
