Large hump/late model seat question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

My truck has the large hump, and I was wondering if any late model seats fit in with no modifications to the hump itself. I have done a lot of searching, but it looks like most people with late model seats have the small hump so clearance is not an issue. Thanks for any help.

mine fit with no problem. some of the holes for the seat brackets matched up and some didn't, but the high hump wasn't a problem.

The hump is pretty much gone by the time you get to the seat anyway, so I wouldn't imaging it would be a problem with any seat.

Those look really nice Purs, what are they out of? The reason I was worried about the high hump was because I read that one member had to cut part of his out and weld in a new piece, and I don't want to fool with it that much. Thanks for the help.

'99 Suburban or truck, can't remember. The power lumbar and crap is kinda cool even though I don't use it much.

Did you have to use any spacers and was it pretty simple to install? I have a friend that has a 2001 extended cab truck that has built in shoulder belts, but I know those cost a fortune. Thanks for the info and pic, I appreciate it.

From what Ive read, the front seats will bolt in for the most part. The 2nd seats that people use for the front seat need some mods to get them to fit.
