Talking My One Ton and Other

I see some people like to look at PU's that aren't cruisers and show trucks so I will show a little of what I have. Both are 71's one ton flat was bought for a part truck, thinking I could sell hoist and make a little money, but I liked It so much and is very usefull I just keep it. Other one is a 3/4 ton that I have had for serveral years just now starting to do a frame off rebuild and will put a nice flat bed back on it and us as a daily driver. Both ran-run good with not much rust or mechanical problems. Oh, by the way the one ton is used to haul my trash to landfill so that is why it has the generic cover, but grandkids think it was built as a camper

Well, it wouldn't take much to make a camper out of it, now would it? Then, when you get back home, just hit the dump button and let it all slide out the back, and back to work you go. Multi-tasking at its' best.

Re: My One Ton and Other

I used to hunt around craig back in the 90s with a gentleman named J.B. Chapman. him and his dad had an auto repair shop in town and were real nice people. everyone we met back there was really friendly and the country around there is gorgeous. lots of our trucks back then too.
nice looking projects

Moffit County, now that`s wild Colorado country.I knew a guy in Matbell named Roger German. He lived at the county road shop and had Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. He gave me a tour around the county that I felt priviledged to see.
Back to your thread...Nice pair of trucks.Looks like a nice flatbed you`re puttin`on the K/20.

Re: My One Ton and Other

Couple of good old working trucks. My dad and I are planning a trip to Craig at the end of the summer to go snoop around at Ike's Transmission and Auto Salvage.

Re: My One Ton and Other

I like to see more pics of the flatbed on the 3/4 if you have any. How wide is it? I've been thinking about putting a nice flatbed on my 3/4 4x4 project.

I can pick up a nice used flatbed around here for around 500 bucks, but the ones I looked at were around 7 1/2 feet wide and would hang out past the cab. yours looks pretty much flush with it.
