3-5 drop

I plan to drop my truck with 3 inch coils in the fron and a flip kit out back. What size tires are you guys running? Can I fit 18 inch tires or even 20 with this type of drop?

Re: 3-5 drop

you could fit 22's no problem if you wanted to, but I gotta tell ya, you are going to be higher in the front than the back with a flip kit in the back and only coils up front.

Re: 3-5 drop

What do you suggest out front? Spindels or should I go with hangers and shackles out back?

Re: 3-5 drop

I did only a flip kit on my truck, and had 3" spindles in the front, and the front was sitting considerably higher, so I pulled the coils and cut 1 complete coil off, and I am told cutting 1 coil off equates to 2-2 1/2" of drop, and now I have a good stance, it has just a wee bit of rake to it.

OK thanks. now here is a question for you. Where did you get those killer rims. They are SICK>>>>> I've been looking for something like the ones you just got for a while but am unable to find any. What size are they?

Re: 3-5 drop

The new billet Boyds that I posted a thread about? I bought em off a local guy for 175 bucks! They are 17"x8" up front and 17"x11" in the rear.

Re: 3-5 drop

For me i was going to do a 3/5 drop what i thought about was an rear flip kit and 2" drop spindels (hopefully have room still with out cutting anything. and as for the fron thought about just 3 " spindels and i would be happy.

Heres the stance now i like it rake but id like to be lower.
