Blazer rear cargo side panels
Anyone still have the paper templates for making rear panels that were around here a few years ago? I could use a set. Thanks, Harry

Re: Blazer rear cargo side panels
If you find someone that does, let me know because I could use a set a well. My carpentry skills suck and I could use the help by simply tracing and cutting.

Re: Blazer rear cargo side panels
My panels are off right now, could trace em out.
What would be best for paper? We'd want something that'd be tough enough to work with but simple to deal with...know what I mean? |

Re: Blazer rear cargo side panels
I'd like some templates also. The template could be made out of some heavy clear visqueen. This would be durable and easy to roll up.
Has anyone ever made these panels with aluminum diamond plate? I am thinking of doing this and mounting speakers in them. Aaron

Re: Blazer rear cargo side panels
Hey Kurt,
There was a blue blazer that was being restored a few years ago on here, they made foldable paper templates for both sides, but I dont remember what kind of paper they used. Maybe someone will chime in. Harry |

Man, make some templates out of 1/4 door skin, cut 'em in half and we'll start mailing them to each other...

Re: Blazer rear cargo side panels
hmm...
i've been tinkering with taking mine off and making some good measurements and drafting it up in cad. i can then plot them at work on a 6 ft. long sheet. no promises, but I'll try to give it a shot.

cstanley, I could use just an email of that cad file if you can get it to me in an Autocad format (dwg). Let me know.

Re: Blazer rear cargo side panels
I have the template Diane made a while back. I would be willing to mail it to someone who can make a CAD file if they will then mail the template back to me. If anyone is interested, PM me.

EDIT: OK, HERE'S A SCALED SKETCH I WHIPPED OUT. PRINT ON REGULAR 8-1/2"X11" PAPER. MAKE SURE THAT IT'S NOT SET TO "SCALE TO FIT" OPTION, SO THAT IT WILL COME OUT AT THE CORRECT SCALE. i ALSO HAVE THE FILES IN .DWG OR WHATEVER YOU WANT, JUST LET ME KNOW. THESE ARE NOT PERFECT. THE OVERALL DIMS ARE CORRECT, BUT I'M NOT CERTAIN ABOUT THE RADII OVER THE WHEEL WELLS. I'LL HAVE TO DOUBLE-CHECK THAT WHEN I GET HOME. OH, AND IF YOU WANT THEM FORMATTED FOR FULL-SCALE OR 11X17 LET ME KNOW! the image is just what the attached pdf looks like. I also uploaded a .zip file that contains a pair of autocad files. I saved them down to version 2004. enjoy! now for the disclaimer: I have not removed my side panels during this process. all measurements were done with the panels installed, but I still believe them to be accurate. If anyone finds otherwise, please let me know and I'll make changes...

Re: Blazer rear cargo side panels
Come on guys...stop by your local body shop & get a big piece of cardboard. Then just start trimming until it fits like you want and trace that onto your final panel material!
