motor swap

I have a questions for my gearhead buddies. I found a 350 motor in a 90 van and I am thinkin of buyin it for my truck. The thing is the brackets are opposite of the motor I have in my truck. Is it possible to just switch brackets such as alternator and A.C. brackets to make it work. Just because its a newer motor doesnt mean it cant work in a 84 Scottsdale. Right?

Re: motor swap

Yep, the brackets will switch right over no problem. If you were trying to put the newer brackets on the old engine you'd run into issues, but not the other way around.

I'd look into keeping the TBI on the engine rather than converting to carb, its a great little EFI system, really reliable and easy to install
