Blue vs Gold Dog Dish Caps

What years were Blue Bowtie dog dish caps used on C10's and what years were the gold Bowtie centers used.

I just picked up a set of blue ones for my 71 C10 project, and was curious to know if they are correct for that year?

Re: Blue / Gold Dish Dish

that is correct... caps of that style with a blue bow tie are 69 - 72, gold would be 73 to who cares.
Now for the bad news... those won't fit your 1/2 ton, those are 3/4 ton and one ton caps. Actually, it kinda looks like you may have 2 of one and 2 of the other. Check them out and let me know if they fit properly.
I know someone who may be interested in one or two if they are in fact for the bigger wheels.

Re: Blue / Gold Dish Dish

They fit my stock 15" 1/2 ton wheels.
They measure 10 1/4 inches across the back = stock 1/2 ton size.

I admit the picture looked like there was two types. Good thing is you have a full set.

Re: Blue / Gold Dish Dish

Does the pattern on those mean they are for 6 lug? If I have 5 lug ralleyes, can I get similiar ones to replace my center caps?

Re: Blue / Gold Dish Dish

They`d work on 5 or 6 lug oem wheels.Rallyes take what are known as center caps that screw on with three self tappers from behind.Small or dog dish "hubcaps" snap onto nubs on the outer edge of the raised area around the outside of the lug circle(since`69 on trucks). The earlier style snapped onto clips on the inside of the above mentioned raised area.
