LED dash
I was at Classic Chevrolet Parts in Oklahoma city today and they had a complete LED dash that worked with the factory bezels. They say they have only sold one and don't know how bad the install is or how accurate it is The price is 650.00 and wanted more info from someone who has used this before I buy it. Any installed pics would help.

Re: LED dash
The one i saw was one piece that fit in flat behind the bezels just like the factory gages but had everything in blue LED numbers and was totally computerized. Wish I had got the name of the kit.

Re: LED dash
that's digital with an LCD display... LED is basicly a light bulb.
It sounds like you are talking about the dakota digital stuff, they've been around for at least 15 years or so. |

Re: LED dash
*DISCLAIMER*
This comment is in no way shape or form a bash, nor an opinion on the product, nor the company shown above With that said, i will never ever own another vehicle with digital guages. I had one, and when they died, they were EXPENSIVE to replace. (never happened) The shop i work at has had quite a few come in with messed up digital inst. clusters.. everything from chevy, to ford, to Mack.... they are all stupid expensive to repair. Also, the human mind doesn't react to them nearly as fast as with annalog guages. Those are the simple facts. Personally, my OPINION... they'll give anything a cheesey early 80's look. What's everyone else's opinion? Last edited by Longhorn Man; 08-23-2007 at 07:22 PM. |
