Finally made it to Albuquerque!!!

Pulled in last night. 1325 miles! Old blue did pretty well pulling the enclosed trailer (2800lbs). Temperature stayed below 190 most of the trip. It creeped up to 200 once climbing the last grade into ABQ, but other than that no major problems. Can't wait to meet some new folks and I've already spotted some nice old sheetmetal, .

Re: Finally made it to Alubquerque!!!

Good looking truck Rob. Glad you made it safely. You should have scheduled a stop in my area. I'd have given you a deal on my blower and you could have saved on shipping. Let me know next time you are going back the other way.

Re: Finally made it to Alubquerque!!!

I was there for one day a few years back for my job. I couldn't get over all the junkyards on one highway in town (don't know where anymore). There was vehicles strung all over outside the fences right up to the edge of the highway. Stuff sitting in yards everywhere too

If only I would of had time, money and wasn't coming home on a plane that night

Thanks! Not sure how much stuff I'm going to get done. All my projects are back in PCola, but I've been eyeballing a few here, .

Most of the stuff I've seen has been from the interstate or main roads, can't wait to start hitting the backroads. I found about 50-75 projects at the Hobby Shop on Kirtland AFB, .

Not sure if it was legal, but it sure was fun. The truck really suprised me. If I had bought a shorter trailer, I would have been able to run my norma 70-80mph.

What was the problem? Definitely not the west coast, but it has its charm.

Need to do a minor welding project on the front of the 48 Chassis. Anyone know of a good shop or have some space in theirs?
