Re: lost the ugly pipes

$200 for 2.5" pipes and 2 flowmasters. I got a really good deal because
while I was there a guy cut a new exhaust of a hemi dodge and it bounced over to where I was and cut a big cash in my shin. Passed on stiches but that prob was a bad choice. If I spend money on a copay that less money to dump into the trucks!

So you seen money flowing out of that gash! Glad it all worked out. Make sure you are good on your tetanus shot.

I had them dump them right passed the rear end and kept them out of sight.

I donate plasma and they actually also pay you to get a tetnus shot. It must make the plasma more valuable. He wanted $180 for the same set up with plain turbos so for a little blood I got the flowmasters for $20 more.Other shops were about $340 w/the flowmasters.

I was actually outside the bay when it got me so there have been some suggestions to make it pay off. I disagree this is a fairly small town and while I am sure the guy is making a good living it is just not the right thing to do. I could prob get a good chunk form his insurance company.

What did they use for hangers? Did you supply them? I want to get one of my trucks done shortly and my old ones are probably not reusable.

P.S. Your missing a tire.

Re: lost the ugly pipes

i work in a muffler shop and if texas laws are anything like calif, his butt could be in trouble for you being anywhere close to his work area. customers are not allowed in our work area for any reason, we have a waiting room with glass windows so they can see some of our work area and they can only look from a distance.if a customer has a special request as to exit/tip location, i'll walk him/her to my bay to show me what they want then it's back to the waiting room. welding, cutting, bending etc. is no place for customers to be near.

Those are the kind of shops I'll avoid at almost any cost. I want to see what's going on with my stuff, and I could care less about some d@^m insurance company.

Insurance companies are takin over the world and need to be stopped. They improve nothing.

Re: lost the ugly pipes

I too agree that if any shop wants me to stay out of the work area they aren't getting my business. When my exhaust got put on in August I actually helped the guy do it. That's the kind of shop that'll get my business. That way I know how it was done and I have a LOT more say in how it actually happens.

The insurance companies make those kind of rules to protect you from the John Edwards' of the world.

Insurance companies are only a symptom. Our litigious, make everything idiot proof society is the disease.

Re: lost the ugly pipes

I can understand staying out of the work area but I do stay with in a foot outside his bay door(outside the building). I can see enough to know if i'm gettin screwed or not. I had one shop tell me I couldn't stand outside the building and watch,,,,,, my truck wasn't in the air yet. I walked in told the guy that was going to do the work to look out , I jumped in and backed it out and left. As I was backing out the guy that was going to do the work asked what the problem was... when I told him he said he didn't blame me but the manager had his policies.

Hope he likes his policies more than my money, because that is what he has. His policies!

I reverse your quotes so I could say I agree with you on the first half...

Before I say I can't agree on the second half. I think anyway. I don't really know who John Edwards is so I can't be certain I don't agree with ya. But I will say this;
Insurance companies don't make rules, (or care), about mine or your safety. They make those rules to potect their premiums. They'd rather see you/me dead quick than hurt. A hole in the ground is cheap compared to an injury lawsuit!

I'm done rantin now! Nice pipes BB72CHEVKT!
How ya like the flows?
