Anyone have 1968 prodcution numbers

You won't find numbers for option packages nor paint /int packages. Those records were not kept.

Re: Anyone have 1968 prodcution numbers

O.K. so I found that there were 43,483 SWB fleetsides
4 percent of them had the CST option making it
1 of 1859 CST trucks, now if I could only trace that down to how many 50th trucks their are.

I have seen 1968 swb 50th Anniversary's with two appearance group options
Custom Sport Truck Option# 4284RL
And
Custom Option #4Z62HA

My understanding is that they could have shipped in either of these configurations
I have seen more CST's than Customs
All had one or the other listed on the SPID Label
All 50th Anniversary's were wide beds

Still not a whole lot of them made though

Re: Anyone have 1968 prodcution numbers

I guess mine is a CST. It has all the CST options but someone painted over the SPID.

Re: Anyone have 1968 prodcution numbers

that 4% is of all trucks that were able to get that option, so it includes all 1/2 ton trucks sold as cab/chassis, or with a bed... all 3/4 tons sold as a cab/chassis or with a bed... and all one tons... same as above.
Since we all know, there were very few step sides made with the CST, that means they were mostly fleet side beds, and since many ppl have never ever seen a one ton with the CST, and only a few 3/4 ton CST trucks.... there were a LOT more than the 1859 made.

Re: Anyone have 1968 prodcution numbers

O.K. I was going by a production book that we use here at Buckaroo for the magazines. I thought it said that the option percentages were for each. O.K. So that CST trucks are rare. Figure 43,000 or so plus the what 146000 lwb plus whatever and figure 4% of that. There may be more than 1859 for 1968 but that means there is 4 percent of 250,000 or so trucks.

Re: Anyone have 1968 prodcution numbers

When it is all said and done 4% is still a lot lower than 96%
