FS 3 inch Super 40s in SE TX
I have a set of slightly used 3 Inch Flowmaster Super 40s for sale. (offcenter inlets and center outlets) About $83.00 each sold new. These have less than 100 miles on them. I have cut off 1/2 inch on both inlets and outlets to remove the welds. There is plenty of pipe left to weld these up again. These are aluminized and painted black, see details in the link below:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku I want $100.00 firm for the pair plus the ride, approx $20-$32 to ship USPS. If interested give me your zip for a better shipping quote. I will charge actual shipping cost only, no packaging fees. Paypal is prefered. Thanks for looking! Last edited by Texasdeere; 09-25-2007 at 10:26 PM. |

SO how loud are these? Say compared to the normal 40 series.

Sorry to take so long, hadn't checked in a while.
Looks like $32 to $33 to Cali. They are kind of heavy, each box weighs about 14lbs. Last edited by Texasdeere; 09-25-2007 at 10:23 PM. |

Re: FS 3 inch Super 40s in SE TX
From experience and comments that I have read. I would say a deeper and less tinny sound than the original 40. Sound level overall should be similar. The 3 inch pipe size will make it louder also. If you don't like a deep drone with the cool sound stay away from these!
I should have a set of 3 inch 50s for sale soon in the same condition, same price. I am re-doing the whole system in 2.5" pipe I had these on my 402 with headers. It was just too much for me. Next I am going with 2.5 pipes with Shorty Headers or Vett Manifolds if they will fit. Last edited by Texasdeere; 09-25-2007 at 10:31 PM. |
