WTB:Manual Crossmember

I`m going with a M22 in my 2wd project and need a manual crossmember that most guys pull to install autos.I have my auto crossmember to trade if that fits the bill.Or,I will buy one if anyone has one or a frame to yank it frame for me.I guess within pick up distance would be best, but not absolutely a must.

Re: WTB:Manual Crossmember

What is the difference between the turbo 400 cross member and one for a stick?

Re: WTB:Manual Crossmember

Are you using a cast iron or alum. bell housing? If aluminum,I think you can use an automatic x-member.

Re: WTB:Manual Crossmember

Thanks all.I have a local offer(pm`d).I`m not sure at the moment on these offers, don`t give up yet.
The manuals used what was actually a rear engine mount/crossmember and nothing where the autos do.
I`m getting the complete M22 conversion today.I`ll see which bell housing I get, hadn`t considered that.I`ll get back to this this evening when I know exactly what I have. It`s the bellhousing to yoke w/clutch for $500.It looks ok,but pops out of 4th,I think.Includes rebuild kit. It`ll need a trip to the tranny shop.I need to see about the shift lever that`ll put it where I want it and away from the buddy buckets.May do some fabbing there. The shifter is new.

Re: WTB:Manual Crossmember

Special, that is a heck of a deal on a M22 even if needing a little work. I am a for hire wrench once in awhile and just so happen to be doing a manual to auto conversion for a local guy here in town. He purchased all the auto conversion parts from me along with the th350 trans and factory truck tilt and here is the deal, he gave me the manual trans and all the related manual parts that I removed so I can pass that same deal along to you. If you end up needing this manual truck style crossmember, I can ship it out to you for only the cost of the ride. Lmk, Cb

Re: WTB:Manual Crossmember

Well, these are great offers, thanks. It turns out I got the V8(aluminum) bellhousing in the deal and won`t need to change crossmembers afterall.I thouht he had the cast iron 6cyl bellhousing. He had, like, three set-ups there when I looked.I got cofused what came with it.
