hello all again! check the sig.... i'm restoring a '75 stepside... right now i'm working on my front radiator support... wondering what color to paint it? flat black? i'm painting my truck w/ GM's indigo blue metallic... should i keep the rad support flat black, gloss black... something crazy like silver? or go w/ my body color, blue? i'm planning on painting the tops of my inner fenders to match the body... ideas? pix? opinions?

I would prefer the outside black. Not sure about flat or gloss though. I like inside body color though. If you paint the outside body color or a contrasting color, other than balck, I think it stands out to much. Black just lets the core support dissapear. Hope that makes sense. Checked out your site. Wow, you are doing lots of work and it looks great.

I say go with a satin black. Flat is too hard to keep clean and gloss will shine behind the grille.

I painted the rad support with proform bumper black. I think it was the perfect black for the inner fenders and rad support

2nd for satin black. My engine bay is that color. Makes the chrome stand out more.

my .02,

Satin Black is the way to go, I'd suggest using an automotive urethane paint. The front of the support will see a lot of bugs & dirt at high speed so you want to use something durable.
