What Next!!!

Well, I have been using my old truck to drive back and forth for company business going out of town for the past three weeks, and Last week was brutal, I had to go to a little town named Estill South Carolina. About 2.5 hours away from home. I had to make this trip several times last week and again at the beginning of this week. Tuesday Morning while I was down there I was leaving for work and on my way to the job site the head gasket blew on the drivers side. Now i guess it could be a good thing but to me its not because I dont think they will pay for my expenses to to get it fixed, but I'm not sure. They are paying for the towing charge thank goodnesss.

Re: What Next!!!

Sorry for your luck, blow head gaskets suck, just so darn time consuming to replace, especially when your as fat fingered and clumsy with a wrench as I am

Re: What Next!!!

Yeah they do seem to take some time to replace. I was wanting to put some performance parts in it anyway, just not at the moment.

Re: What Next!!!

Pulled the heads today. drvrs side rear cylinder was full of water, passenger side rear piston looks as if it hadnt been firing. This could be a way for me to go ahead with the 500 cubic in. caddy conversion. I may to get ahold of longhorn man. I will be in Texas the first week in October so if any of you guys want to get together and drink a beer lets do that.
