Am I asking too much?
I recently bought a 1999 Silverado xtra cab as the 'Family' truck I now am selling the Longhorn(in the classifieds) for an asking price of $3000. Does this seem like a fair price? If not, what would be...? Thanks for any input.

Re: Am I asking too much?
In order for any of us to give you an accurate answer, we would need a little more info on the truck and some additional pics. From what you posted it looks very clean, strictly based on the single pic.
KEEP it and let age like a fine wine

Re: Am I asking too much?
I think things just are not selling now with the price of gas going up and every thing that has went up with it. you may find that you wont sell it until tax seaason gets here.

Re: Am I asking too much?
Part of the selling price is based on options? Miles? Engine? Transmission? Mods? etc. With this info we can assist you in maybe selling it at a fair price. As said more pics would be helpful. Interior, exterior, and eng. bay. What I can see your price might be a tab low. Good Luck.

Re: Am I asking too much?
If the body is in good shape and the motor runs good, I'd say 3 grand is a steal. If it were closer to me and in as good of shape as it looks from that pic, I'd want to buy it.

Re: Am I asking too much?
Seems like a real good price, might just be a lot of guys (like myself) just dont have the $$$$ right now. I see a lot of great deals but with no money or space I just have to watch em go bye bye.
All it takes is one guy with the bucks and its gone.

Re: Am I asking too much?
The details of the truck are in the classifieds. I am not trying to turn this into a for sale post, just trying to figure out why stuff is not selling.
We are about to have our second child in December and I had to get a truck that all of us could go in and be able to tow the BBQ. I hate to give up my Longhorn, but I need to replenish the 'nest egg' for the down time(maternity leave). Anyhow thanks again. -Lance

Re: Am I asking too much?
The market as I see it is down for these trucks as well as many other classics. Upside...there's a few cheap deals out there. All that said, you should be able to sell that truck easily at $3000....I'd take it to Ebay.

Re: Am I asking too much?
3K seems pretty reasonable, I would have to agree with everyone else, it isn't a matter of priced too much, it is just with christmas coming up most people don't want to spend the money on other things, once tax time gets here it will fly out the door.
