Re: 1st coat
The origional grills have GMC stamped in them. That is a reproduction. IMO they look better smooth like his is.
I bought a HVLP gun from Tractor Supply $50 range, I hope it does as good as the Harbor Freight gun did for him.

Re: 1st coat
This was the 5th vehicle that I've used Kirker paints, but the 1st time I've used their urethane paints. They claim it's good paint. I've even seen it sold at Carlisle meets. I know it's a hard paint to sand after it sets up. I used the enamel paints before.

Re: 1st coat
70, 71 and 72 grills did not have the GMC stamped in them. The 67, 68 had the GMC stamped and I'm not sure about the 69. Look it up....I got this off a low mileage, original 70.

My 68 has no GMC on the grill it has the GMC hood letters. I think only the 67s had GMC on the grill

Re: 1st coat
I had a 67 and now have a 69 GMC. The 69 does not have GMC stamped in the grille. The 67 did.
