70 steering box replacement?
My steering box is leaking on my 70 blazer 4x4. Is there a better year to watch out for?

Im gonna put on a '78 on my '67 (2WD) You just need the pitman arm and the rag joint from the one your putting on, I believe. Holes are going to line up for me, but I'm gonna have to trim a little. The newer boxes require less turns than the older ones, so that's an advantage. Somebody here knows more than me but that's a start for you.

the later ones are supposed to be a bolt on... never heard of them being less turns lock to lock, but variable rate steering.
Of course, I don't know if the 4X4 is the same or not. |

When I was looking for my replacement, the books at the parts houses said up to 1976, but I am sure others may work from other years. My problem was, finding one that didn't leak. If you go new then your good to go on that. Good luck. I would stick with 4x4 crossovers.
