I believe the bolt holes are there for either set up.

Re: Burb Rear Doors

As you can see in those pics the gate/hatch hinge points are not on the burb with doors, BUT you should be able to put the doors on a gate/hatch burb as the hinge holes will be there.

So you can go from gate/hatch to doors but not doors to gate/hatch.

I have been thinking about buying a burb and it has the barn doors and I wanted one with a gate just wanted to see how difficult it was to switch them out.

Thanks

Re: Burb Rear Doors

I like what Wes has done with his pannle barn dors on the bottom with hatch on top best of both worlds. Im a barn door fan but it would be nice to have the big back window.

Re: Burb Rear Doors

When changing from barn doors to a lift gate setup you also need to change the rear valance panel also..........................because you have to have the indentations for the hinges to sit into.................go back and compare pictures and you'll see what i'm talking about..................the same is true when changing them on a 60-66 burb................HEMMIT

Re: Burb Rear Doors

The threaded bolt plate for the gate is not underneath the skin on a barn set up-you would have to weld it in.

Re: Burb Rear Doors

If you have gates you can easily switch to doors. All the door hinge privisions are there. It's switching from doors to gates that takes some cutting/welding.

That's my understanding, and is true for my gated burb.
