Re: Saginaw steering pump

Can anyone confirm: From the Summit pumps available, the P series has a reservoir mounted to it and the T/C series has a remote reservoir. So for a 69 350, I would have to say I need the bracket for the P series???????

The big block trucks used the remote reservoir.

Okay: I've got the Digi camera, and I have been succesfull getting pics to E-bay but I don't know how to do it here. If someone can tell me how, I would love to post pics of the pump and lots more of the build, like the 383 on the stand, the body work etc.

if someone was to give me simple instructions ( for my simple mind) like go here then do this then push this button and send that here and then load here etc.,,,,, but keep it dummy simple, please, I wish to learn to post pics.

Re: Saginaw steering pump

Okay. the pump I have is a round unit with a long fill snout. The other pump I have is from a 76 4x4 k truck. It is more tear drop shaped with a very short fill snout. The pulleys seem to be alsmost identical, however the mounting point surfaces to the centerline of the pulley v is about 1/2 to 3/4 inch different from one to the other. I know the 76 has the long water pump and my 69 has a short water pump. Any ideas on what series pump I have???
