Tall deck would make it a 427 or a 366, neither worth much in stock form, and very expensive to hop up. The 366 is a waste of time to hop up, but the 427 tall deck can be built into a mountain motor. The steel crank in the 427 tall deck is worth some coin. |

I agree. Thats a tall deck engine. For 5 bills this truck is a steal. I think you could double your money on the truck.

Re: 4 door 72...worth it?
I want one of those. I'd buy it, but the roof looks trashed and the frame looks like it's sagging.

What would be cooler would be a longhorn bed on there too. Just to make it longer.

Re: 4 door 72...worth it?
for 500 i would never have even dickered on the price i would have just counted out the bills...i would kill for one of those trucks...ans as for the 58 bug,,i would get that to,,nothing better than a old bug..i know that can turn some money on a resell if its not completely rusted out...and as for not being able to park them in my driveway,,that why i could never live in cali,,,

Re: 4 door 72...worth it?
thanx hart rod.... im totally getting it now!!
even if i have to register and insure it just to park it on the street... it is for the most part 100% complete, and 100% original... there only seems to be 2 mojor propblems... 1, the frame looks to be sagging, the roof panel needs to be replaced...so ill need to buy 2 roof panels and make one replacement one...small price to pay... i hope nobody thinks im a jerk for talking him down to 300...lol

Re: 4 door 72...worth it?
You'll probably want to use a roof section from a suburban to fix the top. As far as the frame, I built a new one using as SWB for the rear and using the front section from a LWB. Check out my link.

Re: 4 door 72...worth it?
definitely a project, but worth the effort. Besides, if you decide not to invest all the money into it, somebody here will take it off your hands.

Re: 4 door 72...worth it?
I like the black one in hart rod's pics. I think it looks better without the v section between the doors...I think this would make a bad a$$ truck lowered or as a
4x4......make it a 6 or 8 door and it will be kinda like a limo....just kidding about the limo thing but as for lowered or 4x4 without the V section it would be sweeeeeeeeet |
