I figured that would get your attention...I want to get the gas tank out of the cab of my stepside but don't really want to put it under the bed due to cutting/welding/difficulty filling. I have seen where some use the reliable keg as a tank but again that requires a bit of fabricating (and I really don't want to ride around with a non-consumable keg in the bed either).

Has anyone used one of these? they are aluminum, made for sandrails/buggies, 16 gallons, powdercoated straps, $200

i've used similar for a couple of different rods they work good // the down side is that they dent easily and in the bed of truck that is used as a truck wouldnt last 15minutes without multipule dents for me and would restrict the bed from carrying bijes and those type of things i haul

Hey brock were did you find that? linky? this is what i am wanting and Mooneyes wants 400 bucks for one.. Project 72 wont see any hauling other than some chairs.... lol the gates shaved...

There was a guy running around town here (Tucson, AZ) in a 65-66 chevy stepside, where he installed one of those tanks under the bed in the back. I took picts for future ref but cant find them.

Can a gas gage be used on that style of tank?

yeah you just throw a piece of wood in the bed and stick it in the tank to c how much gas you got

They have them all the way from 16 gallons down to 2.5 gallons (why one would need 2.5 gallons of gas is beyond me).

Very good point about being able to use the gas guage. How do they use the guage in the tanks they put under the bed?
