Blazer/Jimmy to truck conversion
With the number of available 67-72 trucks available, why are people converting Blazers and Jimmys to trucks?

Re: Blazer/Jimmy to truck conversion
That's sad. I had to wait several years to find the right Blazer to start with.

Simply,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Because they can! And it's their vehicle to do what they want with. Doesn't mean anyone else has to like it or even agree with it. Not trying to be a jerk but it's their truck. Frank

Re: Blazer/Jimmy to truck conversion
OK I realize that people can do what they want to with their trucks. I am just wondering what advantages there are to converting a blazer or jimmy to a truck? Maybe the top was too far gone to repair, or the person likes the wheel base, or a smooth transition from the cab to the bed, or having the gas tank not in the cab? I'm not sure why but was just asking.
Has anyone done this converstion and can tell us what they like about it? |

Re: Blazer/Jimmy to truck conversion
I would love to do it....reversibly. That would mean a half-top and a bulkhead, which, if you can be lucky enough to find one, is major $$.

Re: Blazer/Jimmy to truck conversion
it may be that they want the short wheel base and that there blazer windw frame was so fare gone they decided to make it a truck. I think if the winodw frames were reproduced a lot more k5s would be saved.

It's a lot easier taking the top off and warmer in the winter.
