is it worth it?
1987 chevy longbox 1/2 ton 2wd for parts
-doors excellent -box excellent -american racing baja rims with tires, purchased last year -fenders both innner and outers good, minus one dent in the drivers -hood and tailgate are toast -cab needs rockers and cab corners -has decent has pad and guage cluster -posi rear end code in glove box, tag was on the rear but 1/2 was missing. -quad headlight and grill in mint shape. -fuel injected motor went and he bought a replacement and it was no good. Finally bought a second but lost interest. The motor is a 350, supposely rebuilt and has stickers on the oil pan and block still, told me he heard it run and paid $500. Motor and tranny are not in the truck. -Has a 700R4 Parts are hard to come by in Canada and just want to scoop it up for projects down the road. Plus i wouldnt mind throwing the rims on my truck. He asking $1200 FIRM CAD. Is it worth it? Thanks Last edited by vern350; 10-09-2007 at 10:40 PM. |

Hard to judge without pix, but you could probably come out OK. You'd get all the small stuff that tends to nickel and dime (or 100.00) you to death. Just my .02.

Re: is it worth it?
engine block number numbers are 10243880, which is a goodwrench crate 86-99. I think i'll probably end up going through with it, whether or not I part it or put the motor in it.

Re: is it worth it?
Parts ? Is it wrecked ? Why not just fix it up and have a complete truck ?
Then again, maybe I'm just a fan of longbeds... |
