What is best to use to paint a steering wheel?

I want to paint a 67 steering wheel and was wondering what others have used that has worked well. Will go with a spray bomb as I'm not yet setup for a gun.

Any info or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.

Scott

Some will say a vinyl spray, but the wheel is hard plastic. Go and get some "Krylon Fusion" spray paint. this stuff is great and is for all plastics. Comes in different colors. I get it at Walmart. Make sure you clean the wheel real good and spray on a light coat of primer first. You'll like the way this paint flows and turns out.

I haven't painted a steering wheel (yet), but I will agree on the Krylon Fusion. Used it on my fan shroud, door panels, and other non metal surfaces not on the truck. Covers well, and does a good job.

Clean the he!! out of the wheel. There`s years of body oil in there. The Fusion works great if they have the color you want.A paint supplier can mix up any color in a spray can and it can be in a formula for plastic/vinyl.There`s a prep called Bully Dog they sell to help assure bonding, too.
