SM465 and NP205 fit

I found a guy locally that has a 465 and t-case complete married unit for a good price. The parts are out of an '80 1 ton and I know that it has a 10 spline input and 32 spline output. My truck is a '69 C20 and has a 10 spline input and 10 spline output. now I may have already answered my question but I need to know if these would fit in my truck. I am not a great mechanic but I will jump right in and try to figure things out. Thanks in advance for all the help.

The 1980 205 will have a slip yoke rear output where the older stuff all had fixed yoke. That is the only major difference. You could use or adapt the rear driveshaft from the 1980 truck to your truck, or you could convert the t-case to fixed yoke with the parts from an older 205. Other than that there are no major issues to overcome. What is wrong with the stuff you have now?

the t-case is fine, but the tranny is in pretty bad shape. I checked around to see how much it would cost to rebuild it ($475 +/-) and I found this guy on craigslist that has all the parts I need for $350. I would also get the driveline, crossmember and pedal assembly. He is parting out the whole truck. On a side note, he is also selling a complete hydroboost setup for $100. What is everyone's opinion about that setup. I have power brakes right now.

Frankenstein Has A Set Up From An 80 In It.....just Use The 80 Driveline....but You'll Have To Shorten It. The Slip Yoke Is 6 Inches Long...so Leave 3 Inches Hanging Out So You Have Movement In And Out.

If both t/c are np205's then I believe you should have everything you need. Just swap the rear output shaft & bearing housing from the old t/c into the new t/c and your done. I'm doing this to one right now.
