which cam to pick?

i have been questioning my cam decision lately. if you look at my specs in my signature, you see what parts im using and cam: a .454/.454 218/218 268h. the motor runs great, but i think it would be more well suited for a camaro. i think that this cam might have a little too much duration for my heavy truck with 3.07 gears. at full throttle from a stop, it will roast em and shoot to 6000rpms, but from a roll, it seems a little slugish and then gets into its power band. what do you guys think of the .440/.440 212/212 cam. speed wise, do you think it would be better for my truck and gear setup or is the cam i have now just fine?

I think a 3/4 race cam would be better-------

but seriously -- do you have enough stall speed in your converter? the 3.07's are also pretty weak for that setup. 3.73's and a 2200 rpm stall converter would be better .

If you want to change the cam instead to a milder one, maybe someone on here has some experience with the rv cams

what do you call a roll???? 10 20 50 mph..... with your gears you could ajust your throttle pressure so it will kick down in to first when you stand on it .... get it to tight it will not want to shift unless u lift a little... if the thing is bad about stacking shifts that might be something to look at................... (and put a holley on it) just playn )
