Re: s10 suspension
I used a new Heidts mustang II front crossmember($400.00) Mustang II spindles, steering rack and control arms from a 1979 Mustang II. I bought brake caliper brackets from Zigs Street Rods ($90.00) and used the S-10 rotors and brake calipers (1985). Before going the mustang II route I wanted to use the S-10 frame. I found that it requires a lot of fabrication in the steering box, radiator core support area and the running boards. I choose the Mustang II route. Well supported on this site for the 47-54 trucks. I found the S-10 rear end to be a little narrow for the stock 50 chevy pickup frame and box. However I am using the S-10 rear end front spring hangers and leave springs. 1977 Nova 10 bolt 8.5 rear. The rear spring hangers from the S-10 are a little challenging. I built a crossmember behind the the Nova rear end and mounted the S-10 pickup fuel tank using the S-10 fuel tank brackets. I am using the S-10 fuel sender, fuel pickup and fuel lines and brackets. I have the S-10 steering column installed and plan to use the S-10 instrument cluster and complete wiring harness with a few mods. S-10 two headlights, 1950 Chevy two headlights, park lights, turn signals, tailights, plate etc. . Very similar in harness length. S-10 seat a little narrow. 1988 to 1991 Suburban/Pickup seat works nice. Use what you got. No big bucks here.

Re: s10 suspension
im currently doing the s10 frame swap, you need an s10 4WD rear, they are like 5 inches wider and itll fit perfect. You can buy the kit(ad engineering, we went this route) or you could prolly fab your own mounts
