68 4x4 GMC 305V6 Fan Shroud?
The fan shroud appears to be the same as a big block (mounting holes line up), but GMCPaul's parts book says it is the same as an I6. The radiator appears to be a 3 tube and uses the outer mounting holes for the top brackets.

I would think the V6 would have a much higher opening for the shroud, it is a real tall motor.

I have what appears to be the original shroud, which fits very well (it is damaged)and it looks identical to the one for the big block. I have tried a reproduction BB shroud and it fit, but I thought it looked cheap eventhough it cost $120. I am looking for an original, but would like to confirm that they are the same.

Hey Edwin,
I checked out the pictures you sent me. Looks like you have a pretty nice truck to start with. Keep me posted on how the 305 works out. Joe,
I have a good shroud that came off of slammed67's grandpaws 67 GMC (came with the engine I bought), but it is narrower than the one on my 68 4x4. I will send you a picture of both tomorrow. ------------------ 68 GMC 305V6 3/4 4x4 Stepside 54 Kaiser Darrin Ducati Monster Dallas TX

The one I have is not the same width as a big block one.
