whats it worth 56 gmc napco/ 56 gmc 2wd
hey guys, i normally hang out in the 60-66 or 67-72 boards. i found a guy that has a 56 gmc pickup that is a napco 4x4 truck and complete except the grill, minor rust in the floors/cab corners. he also has a 56 gmc 2 wd short bed, about the same shape. he has some extra fenders, hoods etc, and wants to sell everything as a package. how much do you guys think they're worth?

That napco is worth alot more then that alone! Ask around in the 4wd section and you might get a ballpark figure on what the NAPCO parts alone are worth.

Re: whats it worth 56 gmc napco/ 56 gmc 2wd
I'd expect to pay $800 for a fair to good condition NAPCO kit. If it was attached to a truck and the truck was essentially fodder for the scrap man (in my eyes) then I'd be inclined to deduct from that (cost of gas for torch + time to hack and haul, etc.).
Not to scare you, but the NAPCO axles have the potential to be an expensive rebuild -- a sloppy hub could mean serious $$$ outlay. http://www.napcopowrpak.com/ http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/napco4wd/ Good luck!
